Holly is a beautiful seven year old tri-colored rough-coated collie. She is very friendly, but alert and a good guard dog. Lilly is a little BIG dog! She is a very cute 3 year old, corgi/large dog mix. She is about 50 lbs and a “low rider” - big body, short legs. Lilly is smart, spirited, and active. Zeke would love to sit next to you on the couch and watch TV or snooze! His owner recently died and he is looking for another loving home. Zeke is an older gentleman (13) with character! He is an extremely cute, small Chihuahua/Papillion(?) mix. He gets along well with people, other dogs, and cats, but is not so fond of children. Flag is a medium sized tripod mutt, probably part hound and Rhodesian Ridgeback. Having only three legs has not slowed her down and she loves to play with her toys and go for her daily walk. She is sweet, loving, and gets along with people, other dogs, and cats. She is 11 and is looking for a new home because her owner recently died. This is a friendly, mellow mutt who would fit into almost any home.

Charlie is a 9 month old, neutered, Spaniel Mix love bug. He is healthy, house trained, and has his puppy shots. Charlie is 60 lbs still growing, and needs lots of exercise, love, and attention. He has lived with another dog, cat, and kids. Charlie is currently in training so he can learn to be a good companion. Charlie needs a fence and a dedicated new owner to continue his training. Kona has had a rough life so far, but would love a permanent home. He is a medium energy 6-7 year old male Rottweiler, with lots of playfulness and affection. He's learning to walk on leash, loves to ride in the car and is good left alone in the house. Kona needs someone who understands the breed and will continue his training and socialization. He's currently in a foster home with 2 other dogs and enjoys visits from neighbors and friends. No cats, though! There is a $125 adoption fee.
Roger is an adult, neutered chow/border cross found as a stray. He is completely house-broken, with quiet, affectionate demeanor indoors. He walks well on a leash and loves to play and fetch balls from the water. Roger is mellow in the car, calm around other dogs, and good with people. This 7 year old lab mix is sweet, playful and needs lots of exercise. She has diabetes and was blind when she came to us, but our wonderful eye specialist, Dr. Sullivan, replaced her opaque lenses with new synthetic ones and they will never be affected by diabetes again. Ruby is always ready to go biking, hiking, whatever is on the agenda, but be sure to take along the insulin, as she needs her shots twice a day.
Riley is a beautiful, loving Staffordshire Terrier, 4 years old. She is great with all dogs, adults and older children, but cannot live with small children or cats. She has has some obedience training, walks on a leash and answers to commands. She is kennel trained. She would love to cuddle under blankets with you, and snore. LOOKING FOR MY BEST FRIEND! Arlo, a 5 yo American Staffordshire Terrier, endured a horrible life in LA and has been on Vashon for 8 months. He LOVES country life, and he LOVES people. He needs and wants a best friend to play with, cuddle with at night, and let him ride shotgun in the car. Arlo is wonderful with children and cats smart, partially trained and very eager to please. He is a goofy boy in a big body.
Though okay with big dogs, Arlo can be unpredictable. Due to past trauma he can be agressive towards dogs if spooked or challenged. Arlo needs to be in a one-dog home with a family or individual with lots of time and love to give this very special boy.
