BEN FINDS A HOME

HT-BEN1.JPG

Jill fell in love with Ben from his picture in the Beachcomber and immediately told her husband that we “gotta go meet him”.  It was something about his eyes and intense stare.  They met on a Center Forest trailhead and a few short minutes later, knew he was the one.

Two years later and 8 years old, Ben still acts like a playful puppy.  No wonder; he often hikes the Burton forest, has Oregon beach trips with his Chuckit, and runs around the court during Pats weekly tennis lessons. He has not been alone for more than a half hour since his adoption.

Exploring trails with Ben has given Pat and Jill a new appreciation for Vashon with the added bonus of more exercise. They can’t imagine life without Ben. The way he puts his head in your lap to say hello, the howls when trying to tell you something and the wrinkle in between his eyes, when thinking deeply. He is a constant companion, keeps a watchful eye on the family and last but not least, he is a very handsome boy!
